CONVENIENT AND EASY CHARGING

Charging an electric car is an easy task, especially if you have a mobile charger (cable) that can be directly connected to any household (Shuko) outlet.

Whether you want to charge in the garage or plan a trip, the Duosida V3 portable charger ( 2080-V3-PSE-16-5C-ES ) will provide you with charging with a power of up to 3.7 kW (16 amps). In fact, this is the maximum with which it can be charged from single-phase Shuko-type household sockets.

Most brand new electric cars come with a similar charging device from a home socket, but in most cases the factory cables allow charging at a maximum of 10A - 12A, which is no more than 2.7 kW. In contrast, with Duosida's cable you will be able to charge about 35% (1 kW) faster and thus reduce the time it takes to recharge your battery.

If you use the charging device from different locations, you can also rely on the practical Duosida bag, which allows convenient storage and transportation of the cable - your trunk will be tidy.

  • The transport bag is included in the price of the product and is not ordered/paid extra.

The device is universal and suitable for charging all makes and models of all-electric and plug-in hybrids that have a Type 2 charging connector. The Duosida V3 can also charge cars with a Type 1 connector if a suitable adapter is used.

WHY SHOULD I BUY A POWER REGULATED CHARGER?

Every electric vehicle owner is primarily looking for a device that can charge quickly. When using the standard Shuko contacts, maximum speed means 16 amps / 3.7 kW.

Most household sockets of the "Shuko" type are designed to supply electrical appliances with a maximum current of up to 16 amperes, but some old installations or sockets cannot maintain such power for a long time and it may be necessary to reduce the charging current to more small values of 16 A. Very often the fuses to the supply circuit of this contact have smaller values, for example 10 A, so that the automatic fuse does not turn off when charging with a higher current, it is necessary to reduce the charging power from the portable charger device or from an electric vehicle. Some older models of cars do not allow power reduction through their menu, and therefore this particular model of Duosida is suitable when adjustment is needed. But even in the presence of such an opportunity, it is much easier and faster to set the desired power from the device.

The Duosida mobile charger has the option to adjust the power of 6, 8, 10, 13 and 16 amps. By means of a button, you can choose from the preset charging current values (in amperes), and the selected value is shown on the display.

DISPLAY AND INDICATOR

The LED indicator gives information about the charging status or signals in case of a possible malfunction. Under normal power you will see a flashing green light, in the process of charging a "running" green light, charging is complete when the green light is continuously lit. If there is a malfunction you will get a red indication.

Delayed Start

With the delayed start function, you can choose after how long the charging should start. The options are 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours and 8 hours, so you can set the charging session to take place during a lower electricity tariff. In delayed start mode, you will see a yellow LED indication. The setting is carried out through the device menu, by pressing the touch button the various options are selected, and with a long press the selected value is confirmed.

Protection and safety

The term for this device is “ICCB In Cable Control Box”, in simple terms it is an EV charging cable with control electronics connected to the cable. One of its functions is to regulate the power of the on-board charger of the electric car, indicating the maximum charging power in the socket in which the electric car is connected, and also to measure the amount of charged electricity.

The Duosida V3 portable charging station has a built-in temperature sensor (thermocouple) in the Shuko type power plug, so in the event of a poor connection in the outlet or other malfunction, if the temperature of the plug starts to rise and exceeds the set limit, the device will turn off the power to the electric car to prevent the plug and cable from overheating.

Safety during charging is the most important factor. To make charging as efficient and safe as possible, the device is equipped with a number of protections:

Leak protection;
Overload protection;
Short circuit protection;
Surge protection;
Undervoltage protection;
Overheating protection;
